This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies (including localStorage) used on polyglota.app, what they do, and the choices you have.
Sign-in session (keeps you logged into the portal), security tokens, and consent records. These are required for the site to work and cannot be switched off.
We remember your interface language, currency/market selection, voice on/off preference, and — if you arrived through a referral link — the referral code (kept for 60 days so your friend gets credit if you join). These stay in your browser and can be cleared at any time via your browser settings.
With optional analytics consent, we collect first-party account-linked counters for navigation, learning activity, paywalls, purchase attempts and verified purchases, observed sign-ins, fixed error/timing buckets and web-build tags. These counters contain no student messages, lesson answers, audio, email addresses or full URLs and are not used for advertising. Raw events are kept for 90 days; account-linked first-activity dates for retention measurement and non-identifying daily totals for 13 months. Deleting an account deletes its linked analytics. Native collection is off until a separately disclosed app release; it remains optional when enabled.
Google Analytics 4 measures website traffic and conversions. After optional analytics acceptance, Microsoft Clarity records layouts, clicks and scrolling on permitted marketing pages for adult buyers and parents, and eligible adult student portal screens in a web browser. These interaction records are sent to Microsoft. An earlier portal-only choice does not automatically grant marketing replay. Student portal content, contact forms and dialogs are masked; recording pauses before trial-booking popups open. Login, staff, account, billing, translation/document flows, child-facing learning and private-result screens are excluded. Clarity does not record microphone audio, and advertising storage is denied. Clarity remains disabled in our iOS and Android apps; a website update does not enable native recordings.
Open this Cookie Policy page to change Cookie settings or withdraw consent. Withdrawal stops further portal usage analytics and Clarity recording and requests removal of Clarity cookies; it does not delete recordings already held by Microsoft. This choice controls first-party portal usage analytics and Microsoft Clarity; Google Analytics and Meta advertising measurement are separate services.
Meta Pixel measures whether our advertising works (for example, whether a visitor from an ad later submits a form). It may set third-party cookies governed by Meta’s policies.
When you open the Calendly booking widget or click through to WhatsApp, Telegram or Instagram, those services process data under their own cookie policies.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site keeps working (you may need to sign in or re-select preferences). You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) and manage Meta advertising preferences in your Meta account settings. “Do Not Track”/Global Privacy Control signals: we honour browser-level blocking; our essential cookies remain necessary for sign-in.
