Refunds & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for classes, lesson packages, subscriptions and translation services. It forms part of our Terms of Service. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer rights in your country.

1. Rescheduling a class

You can reschedule a scheduled class free of charge up to 24 hours before its start. With less than 24 hours’ notice, the class may be deducted from your lesson balance, unless your teacher agrees otherwise.

2. Lesson packages

EU right of withdrawal: within 14 days of purchase you may withdraw and receive a refund of the unused part of your package. Lessons already taken (or forfeited under the 24-hour rule) are charged at the package’s per-lesson rate; the remainder is refunded to the original payment method.

After 14 days, unused lessons remain available for scheduling. We do not expire paid lesson credits without at least 30 days’ written notice.

3. Platform subscriptions

You can cancel a subscription at any time, effective at the end of the current paid period; access continues until then. Within the first 14 days after the FIRST purchase you may withdraw and receive a pro-rata refund, unless you asked for immediate access and used the service substantially (in which case a proportional charge applies, as EU law allows).

4. Translation services

You may cancel a translation order free of charge until work has begun. By accepting a quote you request that we begin within the 14-day withdrawal period; if you cancel after work has started, you pay for the part already performed. Completed translations (services fully performed with your prior consent) are not refundable, except where the work is defective.

If a translation contains errors, tell us within 30 days and we will correct it free of charge. If a receiving authority rejects a translation for reasons WE got wrong (for example the certification type we confirmed), we will fix it at our cost; rejection for reasons outside our control (authority discretion, document issues) is not a defect.

5. Referral rewards

Referral rewards (free class or gift card) are granted per the referral rules in the Terms of Service. Rewards are not exchangeable, not transferable, and have no cash value except where the reward itself is monetary (gift card). Fraud voids rewards.

6. How to request a refund

Email info@polyglota.app with your account email and the payment reference. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 14 days.

7. Statutory rights

If you are a consumer in the EU, you always keep the rights granted by mandatory law (including remedies for services not performed with professional diligence). This policy adds to — never subtracts from — those rights.
